Sage Accounting + Krokul CRM

Yes. Krokul CRM integrates with Sage Accounting, the cloud bookkeeping product from Sage. Client companies become Sage contacts, quotes and invoices become sales quotes and sales invoices, and contact payments recorded in Sage settle the invoice on the Krokul deal. You set it up with the Krokul app in Zapier, Make or Albato, or with the Krokul API and webhooks.

  • Via API and webhooksYou connect it with the Krokul app in an automation platform, the public API and signed webhooks. The page lists the steps for this service.

What your team gets

Client company and Sage contact stay aligned

Adding a client company in Krokul creates a Sage Accounting contact of type customer with the name, email and address. When the bookkeeper edits that contact in Sage, the next read brings the change back to the client company. The Sage contact ID sits on the company as its external key.

The offer is in the books before the invoice

When a manager issues a quote in Krokul, the connector writes a sales quote to Sage Accounting for the same contact, with products and services matched by their Sage IDs. The bookkeeper sees what was offered long before an invoice exists.

Sales invoice for the won deal

An invoice issued in Krokul becomes a Sage sales invoice with the same lines, VAT rates and due date. Products and services that Sage does not know are created first, so the sales invoice never fails on a missing line item.

Contact payment settles the deal

The bookkeeper records a contact payment in Sage Accounting and allocates it to an invoice. Krokul adds a payment fact to the matching invoice on the deal, the client company debt drops, and invoice.paid fires once the invoice is fully covered.

Removed in Sage, flagged in Krokul

The deleted_since filter tells the connector which Sage records were removed. A deleted sales invoice is marked on the Krokul document and gets an entry in the sync journal.

How to connect today

Krokul app in Zapier, Make or Albato

  1. Add the Krokul app and connect it with a Krokul API key.
  2. Combine a Krokul trigger, for example Company Created, Deal Won or Document Created, with a Sage action such as Create Customer, Create Sales Quote or Create Sales Invoice.
  3. For the way back, start from New Contact Payment or Updated Sales Invoice and finish with a Krokul action such as Record Payment or Create Task.

Custom flow through the Krokul API and webhooks

  1. Give your flow a Krokul API key scoped to client companies, documents and payments.
  2. Listen for clientCompany.created and document.created on a Krokul webhook, checking the x-crm-signature header with your secret, and write the contact and the sales invoice through Sage Accounting API v3.1.
  3. Save each Sage ID on the Krokul company or document with externalRef/api-upsert, so a repeated run updates the same record.
  4. On your own schedule, read contact payments with updated_or_created_since and post each one to payment/api-create with the cardUuid of the deal.

Questions and answers

Does Krokul integrate with Sage Accounting?

Yes. Krokul integrates with Sage Accounting through the Krokul app in Zapier, Make and Albato, and through its API and webhooks.

Is this page about Sage 50 or Sage Intacct?

No. The page covers Sage Accounting, the cloud bookkeeping product. Sage 50 and Sage Intacct are separate products with their own APIs.

How quickly does a Sage payment reach Krokul?

Through the Krokul app, the delay follows the Sage trigger New Contact Payment on your platform. A custom flow reads Sage changes with the updated_or_created_since filter, so a contact payment shows on the deal after the next read. Krokul sends its own webhook as soon as an event happens.

Which system owns the sales invoice?

Krokul creates the sales invoice, and Sage Accounting keeps the books. Once the invoice is in Sage, payments and the outstanding amount come from Sage, and Krokul shows them on the deal.

Limits

Purchases, bank accounts, VAT returns and journals stay in Sage Accounting. The connector reads changes on a schedule, so a payment entered in Sage appears in Krokul after the next read.
