PayPal + Krokul CRM

Yes. Krokul CRM integrates with PayPal. An invoice issued on a deal goes to the client as a PayPal invoice, a completed PayPal capture is recorded as a payment fact that closes the payment plan, and refunds come back to the deal. You connect PayPal through the Krokul app in Zapier, Make, n8n or Albato, or through PayPal webhooks and the Krokul API.

  • Via API and webhooksYou connect it with the Krokul app in an automation platform, the public API and signed webhooks. The page lists the steps for this service.

What your team gets

A Krokul invoice goes out as a PayPal Invoice

When the manager issues an invoice on a deal and picks PayPal, Krokul creates a PayPal Invoice with the same lines, currency and due date, and PayPal emails it to the payer. The PayPal Invoice ID stays on the Krokul document, so every later event finds the right deal.

A payment link for a single plan line

For an advance or one instalment, the manager sends a PayPal checkout link from the payment plan of the deal. The link carries the amount of that line only, and the client can pay with a PayPal balance or a card on the PayPal page.

A completed Capture closes the payment plan

PayPal sends PAYMENT.CAPTURE.COMPLETED once the money is captured. Krokul verifies the event, finds the deal by the Invoice or order ID and records a payment fact with the method label PayPal. The plan line closes, the client company debt drops and payment.received fires for any system that listens.

A PayPal refund updates the deal

A refund issued in PayPal arrives as PAYMENT.CAPTURE.REFUNDED. Krokul books a refund linked to the payment it recorded for that Capture, so the deal shows the net amount and the part that can still be returned.

A denied payment goes to a person

When PayPal reports a denied or failed payment, Krokul creates a task for the account manager on the deal, next to the invoice. The next call to the client starts with the facts.

Questions and answers

Does Krokul integrate with PayPal?

Yes. Krokul integrates with PayPal through the Krokul app in Zapier, Make, n8n and Albato, and through its API and webhooks.

Which PayPal event records a payment in Krokul?

A completed Capture. The PayPal invoice event for paid invoices also fires for partial and pending payments, so Krokul reads the invoice status before it books anything from it.

Is PayPal money kept apart from bank transfers?

Yes. Each payment that comes from PayPal carries the method label PayPal, so the payments register can filter it.

Can I test the connection without real money?

Yes. PayPal has a sandbox with its own app credentials, and a Krokul sandbox company lets you run the whole flow before you switch to live keys.

Limits

Disputes, holds and withdrawals to your bank stay in PayPal. Krokul records the money that settles a deal and the refunds against it.
