Adyen + Krokul CRM

Yes. Krokul CRM integrates with Adyen. The manager creates an Adyen Pay by Link payment for a line of the payment plan, and the AUTHORISATION webhook that reports the result records a payment fact on the deal. Refunds and chargebacks from Adyen come back to the same deal, so the client debt in Krokul matches what Adyen processed. The link runs through the Krokul app in Make or through the Krokul API and webhooks.

  • Via API and webhooksYou connect it with the Krokul app in an automation platform, the public API and signed webhooks. The page lists the steps for this service.

What your team gets

A payment plan line becomes an Adyen payment link

The manager picks Adyen on a line of the deal payment plan. Krokul calls the Adyen Pay by Link API with the merchant account, the amount in minor units and the deal number as the reference, and receives the link ID, its URL and the expiry time. A link without an explicit expiry lives for 24 hours, so Krokul sets the date the manager agreed with the client.

AUTHORISATION closes the line

Adyen reports the outcome of a Pay by Link payment in the AUTHORISATION webhook, which carries the paymentLinkId in additionalData and the success flag. With success true, Krokul finds the plan line by the link ID and records a payment fact. The client company debt drops, and payment.received fires for anyone subscribed. A false value adds a comment instead. The line stays open.

Captures and refunds keep the amount honest

Merchants with delayed capture get a CAPTURE webhook when the funds are taken, and Krokul marks the payment as captured. A REFUND webhook with success true books a refund against the payment Krokul recorded earlier under the same pspReference. If the refund leaves the invoice short, the invoice reopens and the deal shows the net amount.

A chargeback reaches the account manager

A CHARGEBACK webhook creates a task for the owner of the deal with the merchant reference, the amount and the dispute deadline from Adyen. The manager talks to the client while the finance team prepares the defence in the Adyen Customer Area. CHARGEBACK_REVERSED closes the task and restores the payment.

How to connect today

Krokul app in Make

  1. Connect the Krokul app with a Krokul API key and the Adyen app with an Adyen API key for your merchant account.
  2. Start a scenario from the Krokul trigger Document Created for an invoice and call Create a Payment Link with the deal number as the reference.
  3. For the return path, start from Watch Events in the Adyen app, filter AUTHORISATION and REFUND, and finish with the Krokul action Record Payment.

Custom flow through the Krokul API and webhooks

  1. Create an Adyen API credential with Checkout access and a standard webhook with an HMAC key. In Krokul, issue an API key scoped to deals, documents and payments.
  2. Subscribe a Krokul webhook to document.created, check x-crm-signature, and call POST /paymentLinks for the invoice amount with the deal number as the reference.
  3. Save the Adyen link ID on the document through externalRef/api-upsert.
  4. On each Adyen webhook, verify additionalData.hmacSignature, answer with a 2xx status, find the deal through externalRef/api-resolve and write payment/api-create with its cardUuid or payment/api-refund.

Questions and answers

Does Krokul integrate with Adyen?

Yes. Krokul integrates with Adyen through the Krokul app in Make and through its API and webhooks, for payment links, authorisations, refunds and chargebacks.

How does Krokul know which deal an Adyen payment belongs to?

Each payment link carries the deal number as its Adyen reference, and Krokul stores the link ID as an external key. The AUTHORISATION webhook returns the paymentLinkId, so Krokul finds the plan line without guessing.

What happens to a failed Adyen payment?

The AUTHORISATION webhook arrives with success set to false. Krokul adds a comment on the deal, and the plan line stays unpaid until the client pays the link again or the manager issues a new one.

Does an Adyen refund change the invoice in Krokul?

Yes. A successful REFUND webhook books a refund against the original payment, and an invoice left short by the refund reopens on the deal.

Limits

Merchant accounts, payment methods, risk rules and payouts stay in Adyen. Adyen amounts travel in minor units, and Krokul converts them to main units on the deal.
