What your team gets

Business accounts at Barclays

Salt Edge lists 2 Barclays connections with business accounts: Barclays Business and Barclays Corporate. You pick the one your company signs in to, and Krokul reads the accounts that sign-in can see.

Which Barclays accounts appear

Through Salt Edge, Barclays shows current accounts, credit cards, debit cards and savings accounts. Krokul records only credits, the money coming in, and matches them by the payment code, the amount and the payer. Debits and card spending stay out of Incoming.

Payments from Barclays stay in Barclays

Salt Edge also offers payment initiation and variable recurring payments for Barclays. Krokul does not use them: it reads incoming money and never moves it.

A Barclays credit pays the deal

A sure match, one open line with the same code or amount and payer, is recorded on the deal as a payment. Two equal amounts on two deals or no match at all wait in Incoming for the accountant, and the Salt Edge transaction ID keeps the same Barclays credit from being booked twice.

Questions and answers

Does Barclays work with Krokul directly?

No. Krokul connects an account at Barclays through Salt Edge, which holds the licence to read account data and reaches Barclays over a regulated open banking API. Barclays is not involved in Krokul and does not endorse it.

How far back does Krokul read Barclays transactions, and how often?

On the first connection Krokul asks Salt Edge for the last 90 days, then checks for new transactions every 2 hours. The Salt Edge coverage list does not say how much history Barclays itself returns, so the first import shows what the bank gives.

What does Salt Edge read from Barclays?

Salt Edge can read accounts with balances, accounts without balances, account holder details and transactions from Barclays. Krokul asks only for accounts and transactions.

Has Krokul tested the Barclays connection?

Not yet. The Salt Edge connector is built from Salt Edge documentation and tested against a simulated API. The status on this page changes once a live Barclays account has been connected.

Limits

Not checked on a live Barclays account yet. Krokul reads credits only and never pays from Barclays. Access to the account works under the Salt Edge licence: you accept Salt Edge terms when you connect.
