# Quotes from the catalog at the client’s prices, with no retyping

Catalog items, prices by the client’s tier, discounts within the role’s limit. Several options in one deal; the approved one becomes a contract and invoice with the same amounts.

**In short.** Krokul is a B2B CRM where a quote is built from the deal card: line items from the catalog, the price from the client’s tier price list with quantity breaks and discount rules, and the rep’s discount within their role’s cap. A quote can have several options (“Basic”, “Extended”), is printed with the company template and sent to the client; the approved option turns into a contract and an invoice with no retyping.

**Who it’s for:** B2B sales with a catalog and several price tiers; IT integrators with multi-option proposals; distributors and manufacturers.

**Plan:** Available on the free Deals plan, 100 transactions per month

## What it looks like without Krokul

1. Quotes are made in Word from another client’s old quote. Someone else’s name is left in the second paragraph and last year’s price on the third line.
2. The client asks for three options. The rep makes three files, the client picks the second, and the invoice is issued for the first.
3. Everyone gives a “closing” discount at their own discretion. Nobody knows how much margin was given away in the quarter.

## What Krokul does

### Line items from the catalog

Products and services are added from the catalog with description, unit, VAT and the price per the client’s terms. Bundles expand into line items automatically.

### Price by tier and quantity

The price comes from the client company’s tier price list, quantity breaks apply by volume, discount rules by date. You can see where each price came from right next to it.

### Options in one card

“Basic”, “Extended”, “With installation”: options of one quote within one deal. The client picks one, and the rest stay as history, not files in an inbox.

### Discounts within the role’s limit

A rep gives a discount up to their cap; anything more needs a manager’s approval. Line item cost and margin are visible only to roles that are allowed to see them.

## How it works

1. **There’s a deal, you add line items** A quote is created in the deal card; line items are added from the catalog by searching by name or SKU. The price is filled in automatically.
2. **Add options if needed** The second option is copied from the first and edited. The client gets one document with options; you have one deal.
3. **Print with your own template** A company template with logo, company details, terms and signature. The PDF is sent from the card, and the version that was sent is saved.
4. **The approved option becomes a contract and an invoice** One action, and the contract and invoice inherit the line items and amounts of the approved option. Next come payment from the bank statement and the project.

## Result

- A quote goes out in ten minutes, with no other clients’ names in the text.
- Options don’t get mixed up: the client chose the second one, so the invoice follows the second one.
- Discounts are visible and controlled at the moment of sale, not in a quarterly report.

## What’s not included

There is no drag-and-drop quote designer: the look is set by the company’s print template. There is no e-signature or client approval inside Krokul: the client replies by email or in the portal.

## Questions

### Can I add a service to a quote that isn’t in the catalog?

Yes, as a free-form line with a price; but tier pricing and quantity breaks work only for catalog items.

### How does the client see the quote?

As a PDF in your template, in an email sent from the card, or in the client portal if it’s enabled.

### What if price list prices change after the quote?

The version that was sent stays as it was. A new version of the quote picks up the new prices, and the difference is visible.

### How is this different from quotes in a typical CRM?

In a typical CRM a quote is a file attached to a deal. In Krokul it’s a document with line items that knows the client’s price list and the discount cap, and then becomes a contract and an invoice; amounts are never retyped.

### How much does it cost?

Quotes from the catalog are included in the free Deals plan; each new quote is one transaction out of a hundred per month. Contracts and invoices come with the Money plan.

## Build a quote in ten minutes

Import your catalog from a spreadsheet, create a deal and add line items. The price is filled in by the client’s terms; all that’s left is to click “Send”.

Included in the Deals plan, free of charge.
