# Agents and partners register deals themselves

A partner registers a client in the portal and sees the deal status and their commission by your scheme. The client is locked to them for a term; conflicts show at registration.

**In short.** Krokul is a B2B CRM for vendors and manufacturers that sell through agents and partners: an agent portal where a partner registers a client and a deal and sees the stage and their commission by your scheme (a percentage of payment, volume tiers), plus locking the client to the partner for a defined term. Registrations go through the vendor’s approval queue; a conflict with your own sales or another partner is visible at registration. This is a portal for your company’s partners, not the Krokul partner program itself.

**Who it’s for:** vendors and manufacturers with a reseller network; SaaS companies with referral agents; distributors with regional representatives.

**Plan:** Available from the Margin plan, $399 per month, 5,000 transactions included

## What it looks like without Krokul

1. A partner brought in a client in March; your rep “found them on his own” in April. In May the partner wants a commission, the rep wants a bonus, and there is only one client.
2. Every week the agent calls the rep: “what’s happening with my deal, when is the payment, how much do I get.” The rep answers instead of selling.
3. Agent commissions are calculated in a spreadsheet at the end of the quarter. Each agent calculates differently, and each gets a bigger number.

## What Krokul does

### Agent portal

The partner logs into their portal and sees referred clients, the stage of each deal, scheduled and received payments, and their commission, without a phone call.

### Client registration for a term

The partner registers a client; once approved, the client is locked to them for a set term. Any sale to that client during the term pays the partner a commission, whoever closed it.

### Conflicts visible right away

If the client is already in your database or locked to someone else, the registration shows it at submission. The vendor decides in the approval queue, not at payout.

### Commission by scheme

A percentage of payment, volume tiers, recognition on payment or on win. One scheme for all agents, and the number in the agent portal is the same one you see.

## How it works

1. **You set up the program and the scheme** Lock-in term, commission scheme, who approves. You invite partners to the portal.
2. **The partner registers a deal** Client, contact, expected amount, comment. Krokul checks against your database and flags a conflict if there is one.
3. **You approve, and the deal follows the usual chain** An approved registration becomes a deal in your pipeline, tagged with the partner. Quote, contract, invoice, payment, as usual.
4. **Commission is calculated from payments** A received payment creates an accrual for the partner by the scheme. They see it in the portal; you see it in the period report.

## Result

- The “whose client is it” dispute is settled at registration, not at payout.
- Agents don’t call sales reps: everything is visible in the portal.
- Commission is calculated from the same payments accounting sees, and it reconciles the first time.

## What’s not included

This is a portal for your company’s partners; the Krokul partner program for implementation partners is a separate “Partners” page. Krokul does not pay agents: it calculates the amount, and your accounting team pays it. There are no marketing materials or agent training inside the portal.

## Questions

### Can an agent see other agents or our clients?

No. Only their own registered clients, those clients’ deals within the permitted scope, and their own commission. The server enforces this.

### What happens if the client is already ours?

The registration shows that the client is in your database and goes into the queue flagged as a conflict. The vendor approves or rejects it with a reason the agent will see.

### How is commission calculated?

By scheme: the base (payment or deal amount), the recognition point, and a rate or volume tiers. You can have several schemes, by partner type.

### How is this different from a partner module in a typical CRM?

A typical CRM gives you a “source: partner” field. In Krokul a partner has a portal, registration for a term, an approval queue with conflicts, and commission from real payments. It’s a process, not a tag.

### How much does it cost?

Agent and partner portals come with the Margin plan, $399 per month; the number of partners is unlimited and not billed separately.

## Invite your first partner to the portal

Set the commission scheme and the lock-in term, send an invitation, and the partner will register the next deal themselves.

On the Margin plan this comes together with cost tracking and completion certificates.
