# ShipStation + Krokul CRM

Yes. Krokul CRM integrates with ShipStation. A won deal becomes a ShipStation order with the ship-to address and items, the warehouse buys the label in ShipStation as usual, and the shipment with its carrier and tracking number returns to the deal. The deal moves to your delivery stage on its own. The link runs through the Krokul app in Zapier, Make or Albato, or through the Krokul API and webhooks.

**Status:** Via API and webhooks. **Automation platforms:** Zapier, Make, Albato.

## What your team gets

### A won deal goes to the warehouse queue

When a manager wins a deal in a pipeline that ships goods, Krokul creates the Order in ShipStation with the deal number as the order number, the ship-to address from the client company and each product line with its SKU and quantity. The ShipStation order ID stays on the deal, so a later edit updates the same Order.

### Tracking returns to the deal

ShipStation sends SHIP_NOTIFY when a label is created. Krokul reads the shipment from the resource URL in the webhook, writes the carrier and tracking number to the shipment of the deal and moves the deal to the delivery stage. Sales sees the tracking code without asking the warehouse.

### Changes before shipping reach the order

If the client changes the address or a quantity while the order still waits in ShipStation, the manager edits the deal and Krokul updates the ShipStation Order. A deal closed as lost puts the Order on hold, so nobody ships a canceled sale.

### Orders that reach ShipStation from a store

An order can also come into ShipStation straight from a store channel. ORDER_NOTIFY lets Krokul add them as deals for known trade customers, keyed by the ShipStation order ID, so the account manager sees every purchase of the client.

## What moves between ShipStation and Krokul

## How to connect today

### Krokul app in Zapier, Make or Albato

1. Connect the Krokul app with an API key.
2. Start from the Krokul trigger Deal Won and finish with the ShipStation action Create Order.
3. For tracking, start from the ShipStation trigger Order Shipped and use the Krokul action Change Deal Stage, or Item Shipped with Add Comment for per-item notes.

### Custom flow through the Krokul API and webhooks

1. In ShipStation, open Settings → Account → API Settings and copy the API key and secret. In Krokul, create an API key scoped to deals and activities.
2. Subscribe a Krokul webhook to `card.won` with a `pipelineUuid` filter, verify `x-crm-signature`, read the deal with `card/api-read` and create the ShipStation Order.
3. Keep the ShipStation order ID on the deal through `externalRef/api-upsert`.
4. On SHIP_NOTIFY, read the resource URL, write the carrier and tracking number with `activity/api-create`, and move the deal with `card/api-updateStatus`.

**Triggers:** New Order; Order Shipped; Item Ordered; Item Shipped.

**Actions:** Create Order.

### For integrators

ShipStation webhooks for ORDER_NOTIFY, ITEM_ORDER_NOTIFY, SHIP_NOTIFY and ITEM_SHIP_NOTIFY carry a resource URL that the receiver reads to get the records. Krokul does that read and keeps the ShipStation order ID as an external key on the deal. For your own logic, use the Krokul REST API, signed webhooks with a delivery log and a sandbox company.

## Questions and answers

### Where are labels bought?

In ShipStation. Krokul sends the order and receives the result, and the warehouse keeps its carrier accounts, rates and packing rules.

### How does the ShipStation shipment find its deal?

By the ShipStation order ID that Krokul stored on the deal when it created the order.

### Does the ShipStation order carry Krokul SKUs?

Yes. Each deal line goes to ShipStation with the SKU, name and quantity of the Krokul product, so warehouse product rules apply.

### Which ShipStation plan do I need?

ShipStation says its V1 API is available on certain plans. Check that API access is included in yours before you connect.

## Limits

Rates, carrier accounts, label printing and packing rules stay in ShipStation. ShipStation documents its V1 API as available on certain plans, so check your plan before you connect.
