# Shippo + Krokul CRM

Yes. Krokul CRM integrates with Shippo. Krokul sends the client address and parcels of a deal to Shippo, lists the carrier rates on the deal and buys the chosen label as a Shippo Transaction once the deal is won. Shippo tracking updates then carry the parcel status back to the deal. The link runs through the Krokul app in Zapier, Make or Albato, or through the Krokul API and webhooks.

**Status:** Via API and webhooks. **Automation platforms:** Zapier, Make, Albato.

## What your team gets

### Carrier rates on an open deal

The client asks what delivery costs before signing. The manager enters the parcel weight and size on the deal, and Krokul creates a Shippo Shipment from your warehouse address to the address of the client company. Shippo replies with Rates from the carriers on your account, each with a price and an estimated transit time. The manager picks one, and the rate stays on the deal with the quote.

### A won deal gets its label

When the deal is won, Krokul sends a Transaction for the saved rate. Shippo buys the label and returns the tracking number and a label URL. Krokul keeps both on the shipment of the deal and stores the label file as a link, ready for the packing desk.

### Tracking statuses move the deal

Each tracking number from a Krokul shipment is registered with Shippo, and every track_updated webhook lands on the deal with the status and location of the scan. DELIVERED moves the deal to your delivered stage. A FAILURE or RETURNED status opens a task for the account manager, who calls the client the same day.

### Warehouse teams that buy labels in Shippo

Some warehouses prefer the Shippo app for packing. In that setup Krokul creates a Shippo Order from the won deal with the deal number as the order number and one line per product. When the warehouse buys the label in Shippo, the transaction_created webhook brings the tracking number back to the same deal.

## How to connect today

### Krokul app in Zapier, Make or Albato

1. Connect the Krokul app with a Krokul API key.
2. Start from the Krokul trigger Deal Won. In Zapier add the Shippo action Create Order, or in Make use Create a Shipment followed by Create Label by Rate.
3. For the return path, start from New Shipping Label in Zapier or Watch Shipping Labels in Make, and finish with the Krokul actions Add Comment and Change Deal Stage.

### Custom flow through the Krokul API and webhooks

1. In the Shippo portal, copy a test token (it starts with shippo_test_) and later a live token. In Krokul, create an API key scoped to deals and activities.
2. Subscribe a Krokul webhook to card.won with webhook/api-upsert and check x-crm-signature on every delivery. Read the deal with card/api-read.
3. Create the Shippo Shipment, buy the chosen rate through /transactions, register the tracking number at /tracks and keep it on the deal with externalRef/api-upsert.
4. Point a Shippo track_updated webhook at your receiver with a secret token in the URL. Write each scan with activity/api-create and move the deal with card/api-updateStatus on DELIVERED.

**Triggers:** New Shipping Label; New Order; Watch Shipments; Watch Shipping Labels; Watch Parcels.

**Actions:** Create Order; Create a Shipment; Create Label by Rate; Find a Shipping Label; Find an Order.

### For integrators

Shippo authenticates calls with a ShippoToken authorization header, and test tokens buy no real labels. A webhook receiver must return 2XX within three seconds. Krokul queues the work after that reply. Shippo protects deliveries with a token in the URL, an IP allowlist or an HMAC signature that Shippo enables on request. Krokul adds a REST API, signed webhooks with a delivery log, external keys for tracking numbers and a sandbox company.

## Questions and answers

### Does Krokul integrate with Shippo?

Yes. Krokul integrates with Shippo for rates, labels, orders and tracking, through the Krokul app in Zapier, Make and Albato and through the Krokul API and webhooks.

### Which carriers can a deal ship with?

Any carrier connected to your Shippo account. Krokul shows the Rates that Shippo returns for the shipment and saves the one the manager picks.

### Can I test the flow without paying for labels?

Yes. Shippo test tokens return test labels and tracking numbers, and a Krokul sandbox company keeps test deals away from your real pipeline.

### What if Shippo sends the same tracking update twice?

Shippo says tracking webhooks are not idempotent, so a duplicate registration can repeat notifications. Krokul registers each tracking number once and ignores a scan it already recorded.

## Limits

Carrier accounts, label billing and refunds for unused labels stay in Shippo. Shippo retries a failed webhook delivery twice, so a receiver that stays down longer catches up from the Track object.
