# RingCentral + Krokul CRM

Yes. Krokul CRM integrates with RingCentral. Calls from the call log, recordings, voicemails and SMS land on the contact and the open deal, missed calls become tasks, and managers start a RingOut call or send a text from the contact card in Krokul. The Krokul app in Zapier, Make and Albato and the Krokul API with webhooks carry the link.

**Status:** Via API and webhooks. **Automation platforms:** Zapier, Make, Albato.

## What your team gets

### The call log fills the deal history

Krokul subscribes to telephony session events for the whole account. When a session reaches its final state, Krokul reads the call log record and writes a call on the contact with the same phone number. The record keeps the direction, extension, duration and result. The manager logs nothing by hand. In the history of a client company, calls sit next to emails, meetings and payments.

### Recordings and voicemails are one click away

For a recorded call Krokul adds a player for the RingCentral recording to the call record. A new voicemail arrives as its own record with the audio, so the manager hears the message without opening the RingCentral app.

### A missed call becomes a task

A call log record with the result Missed creates a task for the manager of that contact, or for the person on duty when the number is unknown. The task title carries the number and the time of the call.

### Texts from customers join the thread

An SMS to a company number arrives through the message-store subscription and opens a thread in Communications. The manager replies from Krokul, and RingCentral sends the text from the same number.

### Call the customer from Krokul

A click on the phone number in a contact card starts a RingOut call. RingCentral rings the manager first, then connects the customer. The finished call returns to the deal through the call log.

## How to connect today

### Krokul app in Zapier, Make or Albato

1. Connect the Krokul app with an API key.
2. Use RingCentral triggers such as New Call Log Record, Missed Call or New Voicemail with Krokul actions such as Add Activity or Create Task.
3. Pair the Krokul trigger Deal Stage Changed with the RingCentral action Send SMS/MMS, or Contact Created with Create Contact.

### Custom flow through the Krokul API and webhooks

1. Make a Krokul API key with scopes for contacts, activities and tasks.
2. Subscribe your RingCentral receiver to account telephony sessions, and at the final state find the caller in Krokul with `contact/api-find` by phone.
3. Write the call to `activity/api-create` on the contact, and add a `task/api-create` call when the result is Missed.
4. Subscribe a Krokul webhook to `contact.created` to push new contacts to RingCentral, and verify `x-crm-signature` on every delivery.

**Triggers:** New Call Log Record; Call Ended; Missed Call; New Call Recording; New Voicemail; New SMS/MMS Received.

**Actions:** Send SMS/MMS; Create Contact; Update Contact; Find Contact; Generate Ringout Call; Create Video Meeting.

### For integrators

RingCentral delivers events through subscriptions. The receiver echoes the `Validation-Token` header and renews the subscription before `expiresIn` runs out. Session events arrive as the call changes state, so log the call once, at the final state. On the Krokul side the public REST API accepts call records as activities of type `call` with `durationSec` and `recordingUrl`, and texts as type `message`.

## Questions and answers

### Does Krokul integrate with RingCentral?

Yes. Krokul integrates with RingCentral through the Krokul app in Zapier, Make and Albato, and through its API and webhooks. Calls, recordings, voicemails and SMS land on deals, and managers call or text from Krokul.

### Are calls of all users logged?

Yes, when an admin connects the account. Krokul subscribes at the account level and matches each extension to a Krokul user.

### How does click to call work?

Krokul starts a RingOut call. RingCentral rings the manager phone first and then dials the customer from your company number.

## Limits

RingCentral stays the phone system, and extensions, routing, queues and its app live there. Recordings and voicemails remain in RingCentral storage, and Krokul plays them through your connection.
