# Otter.ai + Krokul CRM

Yes. Krokul CRM integrates with Otter.ai. When Otter.ai finishes processing a conversation, Krokul logs the meeting on the deal of the people who took part, adds the Otter summary as a note and turns each action item into a task for the right person. Recorded phone calls from Krokul can go to Otter.ai for a transcript.

### A finished conversation finds its deal

Otter.ai sends the conversation.completed workspace webhook when processing ends. Krokul compares the calendar guests and the addresses the conversation was shared with against Krokul contacts, and logs the meeting on their open deal with the title, date and a link back to Otter. A conversation with no known guest waits in the log for a manager.

### The summary goes into the deal feed

Krokul reads the conversation through the Otter API with the transcript, outline and action items included. The abstract summary becomes a note on the deal. Colleagues who missed the call catch up in a minute.

### Action items become Krokul tasks

Each Otter action item carries its text and an assignee with an e-mail address. Krokul creates a task on the same deal for the Krokul user with that address, or for the deal owner when the assignee is a client. When the item is marked completed in Otter, the next sync closes the task.

### Phone calls get Otter transcripts

A call logged in Krokul with a recording goes to Otter.ai through the Zapier action Import New Recordings Into Otter, named after the deal and the contact. The finished recording returns through the New Recording trigger, and Krokul attaches its summary to the call.

### Krokul app in Zapier

1. Connect the Krokul app with a Krokul API key and Otter.ai with the API key Otter generates for Zapier.
2. Start from the Otter.ai trigger New Recording, find the people with the Krokul search Find Contact and log the meeting with Add Activity.
3. For calls, start from a Krokul call with a recording and use the Otter.ai action Import New Recordings Into Otter.

### Custom flow through the Krokul API and webhooks

1. On an Enterprise workspace, create an Otter API key under Account Settings → Developer. In Krokul, issue a key that reads contacts and deals and writes activities and tasks.
2. Add an Otter workspace webhook for conversation.completed that points at your receiver.
3. Read the conversation with GET api.otter.ai/v1/conversations/{id}?include=all, match guests with contact/api-find and keep the conversation ID through externalRef/api-upsert.
4. Log the meeting with activity/api-create and create action items with task/api-create on the same deal.

### For integrators

The Otter public API sits at api.otter.ai/v1 and takes a Bearer key. Each user can hold two keys, and Enterprise workspaces get 10 requests per second, with 429 above that. The conversation payload reports process_status for the summary and action items, so Krokul waits until both are done. Then it reads once. On the Krokul side there is a REST API, signed webhooks with a delivery log, external keys for Otter conversation IDs and a sandbox company.

## Limits

Recordings, full transcripts and Otter chat stay in Otter.ai. Otter.ai offers its public API and workspace webhooks on Enterprise workspaces, while the Zapier connection works on Pro, Business and Enterprise plans.
