# OpenCart + Krokul CRM

Yes. Krokul CRM has a native OpenCart connector. You install the Krokul extension in the OpenCart admin, and each order with its products reaches Krokul as a deal with the buyer as a contact. Order status changes in the shop move the deal, and Krokul writes stock and order history back to OpenCart.

**Status:** Native. **Automation platforms:** Make.

## What your team gets

### A shop order becomes a deal with its products

A wholesale buyer checks out in your OpenCart shop. The extension sends the order with its product lines, and Krokul opens a deal named after the OpenCart order number. The buyer becomes a contact. Each line keeps its name, model code, quantity and price, and lines whose model code matches a Krokul product link to that catalog item. The payment method, shipping method and buyer comment go into the deal text.

### Orders in another currency keep the right total

OpenCart stores the order total in the default shop currency and keeps currency_value for the currency the buyer saw. Krokul multiplies the two and records the deal in the order currency, so a dollar order arrives in dollars. Reports add it up correctly.

### Order status in the shop moves the deal

When staff add an order history entry, for example Processing, Shipped or Canceled, the extension sends the order again with its new order_status_id. Krokul finds the deal by the OpenCart order ID and moves it to the stage you mapped for that status. A canceled order closes the deal as lost and releases the reserve.

### Krokul updates the order and stock in OpenCart

When the deal ships, Krokul adds an order history entry with the status you chose and a comment with the tracking number, and OpenCart can notify the buyer. Stock moves in Krokul set the product quantity in OpenCart for the same model code. Buyers see real availability.

## How to connect today

### Native connector in the Marketplace

1. In the Krokul Marketplace, open OpenCart, pick the pipeline, source and responsible person, set a shared secret and copy the flow address.
2. Download the extension for your shop version, OpenCart 3.x or OpenCart 4.x. The version is shown at the bottom of the admin page.
3. In the OpenCart admin, go to Extensions → Installer, upload the .ocmod.zip file, then install the Krokul CRM module under Extensions → Extensions → Modules. On OpenCart 3.x, press Refresh under Extensions → Modifications first.
4. Edit the module, paste the flow address and the shared secret, set the status to Enabled and save.
5. Place a test order. The integration journal shows the order, the contact and the deal it opened.

### For integrators

OpenCart has no outgoing webhooks and its built-in API does not list orders, so the Krokul extension is the sender. It runs inside the shop. It listens to the order history event and posts the order with its products as JSON. The X-OpenCart-Signature header carries a HMAC-SHA256 of the body, and Krokul rejects requests without a valid one. The extension changes no shop files, so an engine update leaves it in place. For custom work there is the Krokul REST API, signed webhooks such as card.statusChanged, external keys for order IDs and a sandbox company.

## Questions and answers

### Which OpenCart versions does the Krokul extension support?

OpenCart 3.x and 4.x. Each version gets its own package, because the extension code differs between the two.

### What if I cannot use the OpenCart extension installer?

A short PHP snippet on the same order event sends the same body with the same signature. A shop engine update removes the snippet, so it has to be added again after each update.

### Does a status change create a second deal?

No. Krokul keeps the OpenCart order ID as an external key. Later deliveries of the same order update the existing deal.

### Does the extension package contain my secret?

No. The package is the same for every Krokul company. You enter the flow address and the secret in the module settings inside OpenCart.

## Limits

The storefront, checkout, payment and shipping extensions and the theme stay in OpenCart. Krokul runs the sales side, which covers the buyer, the deal, stock and the work after the order.
