# Google Meet + Krokul CRM

Yes, it is built in. In a Krokul CRM task with a date, the assignee clicks one button and Krokul adds a Google Meet conference to the matching event in that person's Google Calendar. The Meet link is saved on the task and shown on the deal, and the contacts of the deal can receive the calendar invitation with the link.

**Status:** Built in. **Automation platforms:** Zapier, Make.

## What your team gets

### A call with a client gets a Meet link in one click

The manager opens a task such as "Call about the quote", checks the date and clicks "Create link" in the Meet block. Krokul puts the task into the manager's Google Calendar as an event, adds the Meet conference to that event and shows the link in the task with an Open button.

### The client receives the invitation

When the task belongs to a deal, the manager ticks the contacts who should join. Krokul adds them as guests of the Google Calendar event, and Google sends each of them the invitation with the Meet link. The deal feed shows the meeting, its time and the guest list.

### The same link stays valid

Krokul asks Google Calendar for one conference per task, so creating the link again returns the same Meet room. When the task moves to another time, the event moves with it and keeps the conference, and the link already sent to the client keeps working.

### Krokul explains why the button is off

Before anything is created, Krokul checks the task and the Google account. It names the reason if the task belongs to another person, has no date, is closed, or if Google is not connected with calendar access. Nothing is created in Google during this check.

## What moves between Google Meet and Krokul

| Google Meet | Krokul | Direction | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calendar event of the task | Task with a date, assigned to you | Krokul → Google | On "Create link", if the event does not exist yet |
| Meet conference (hangoutsMeet) | Meet block of the task | Krokul → Google | On "Create link"; one conference per task |
| Event guests (attendees) | Contacts of the deal chosen for the meeting | Krokul → Google | When the manager adds them to the meeting |
| Meet link (hangoutLink) | Link on the task and in the deal feed | Google → Krokul | Right after Google returns the event |
| Event state | Reason shown in the task | Google → Krokul | When the event was deleted or Google refused |

## How to connect today

### Turn it on (built in, no code)

1. Connect your personal Google account in Krokul settings (My Google) and allow calendar access. Each person connects their own account.
2. Open a task that is assigned to you, is open and has a date.
3. In the Meet block, click "Create link", choose the deal contacts who should get the invitation and confirm.
4. Copy the link from the task or click Open to join.

### Meet from an automation

1. For flows of your own, take the Krokul trigger Task Created in Zapier or Make and run the Google Meet action Schedule a Meeting, or Create a Meeting in Make.

**Actions:** Schedule a Meeting.

### For integrators

Meet links come from the Google Calendar API. Krokul patches the task event with `conferenceDataVersion=1` and a create request of type `hangoutsMeet`. It acts with the Google access of the person who clicks, so the link is created in that person's own calendar. Through the public API a custom tool reads the stored link of a task and records the meeting as an activity of type `meeting`.

## Questions and answers

### Does Krokul have a Google Meet integration?

Yes, built in. A task with a date gets a Google Meet link with one click, and the link is stored on the task and shown on the deal.

### Why can I not create a link for a colleague's task?

The Meet room lives in an event of the assignee's own Google Calendar, and Krokul writes only to the calendar of the person who clicks. Assign the task to yourself or ask the assignee.

### Does the client get an invitation?

Yes, when the manager adds deal contacts as guests. Google Calendar sends them the invitation with the Meet link and the time.

### What if my Google account has no video meetings?

Google then creates the event without a link, and Krokul reports that the account plan may not include video meetings.

## Limits

Krokul creates and keeps the Meet link. Who joined, how long the call lasted and any recording stay in Google Meet and Google Drive, under the rules of your Google account.
