# DHL Express + Krokul CRM

Yes. Krokul CRM integrates with DHL Express through the MyDHL API. From a won deal Krokul quotes the DHL rate, creates the shipment with its label and, for exports, the customs invoice built from the deal lines, and books the courier pickup. Krokul then checks DHL tracking for every open waybill and keeps the status on the deal.

**Status:** Via API and webhooks. **Automation platforms:** Make, n8n.

## What your team gets

### An export order ships from the won deal

The manager opens the shipment of a won deal, sets the pieces and weight, and Krokul asks the MyDHL API for the rate and the delivery date. On confirmation Krokul creates the Shipment, saves the waybill number and the label on the deal, and attaches the customs invoice with the product names, quantities and values of each line.

### The courier pickup is booked in the same step

The MyDHL API handles Pickup requests next to shipment creation. Krokul books the pickup for the date the warehouse selects and records the pickup confirmation on the shipment of the deal.

### Tracking status on the deal

Krokul queries Shipment Tracking for open waybills on a schedule. A new event appears on the shipment with its time and location, and a delivered Shipment moves the deal to the next stage. The account manager answers where is my parcel from the deal.

### Address check before the waybill

Before creating the shipment, Krokul validates the client company address with the address service of the MyDHL API. The manager fixes a wrong postcode in Krokul while the parcel is still in the warehouse.

## How to connect today

### Krokul app in Make or n8n

1. Connect the Krokul app with an API key.
2. Start from the Krokul trigger Deal Status Changed and run Track a Shipment (Unified) or Get a Shipment Status in Make, or Get Tracking Details in n8n, for the waybill on the deal.
3. DHL offers no triggers on these platforms, so post each result back with the Krokul action Add Comment.

### Custom flow through the Krokul API and webhooks

1. On developer.dhl.com, request MyDHL API access with your DHL Express account number, and get a tracking key from an app with Shipment Tracking - Unified.
2. In Krokul, issue an API key for deals and documents, and subscribe your service to card.won with webhook/api-upsert. Verify the x-crm-signature header before you ship anything.
3. Read the deal and its lines with card/api-read, create the DHL shipment with label and customs invoice, and keep the waybill number on the deal through externalRef/api-upsert.
4. Check tracking for open waybills on a schedule, add each event with activity/api-create, and move the deal with card/api-updateStatus once DHL reports delivery.

**Actions:** Track a Shipment (Unified); Get a Shipment Status; Get Tracking Details.

### For integrators

The MyDHL API uses basic authentication with credentials from DHL, and its test environment allows 500 calls a day. The Shipment Tracking - Unified API starts at 250 calls a day and one call every five seconds. Krokul gives custom builds a REST API, signed webhooks such as card.won, external keys for waybill numbers and a sandbox company.

## Questions and answers

### What do I need from DHL to connect?

A DHL Express customer account with its number, MyDHL API access through the DHL developer portal, and a tracking API key from an approved app.

### Does Krokul build the customs invoice?

Yes. Krokul fills it from the deal lines with product names, quantities, unit values and currency. The manager checks it before the waybill is created.

### How often does the tracking status update?

Krokul checks open waybills on a schedule that fits the DHL daily call limit and stops checking once DHL reports delivery.

## Limits

You need a DHL Express account and MyDHL API credentials issued by DHL. DHL limits tracking calls per day, so Krokul checks only open waybills and stops once a shipment is delivered.
