# Apollo.io + Krokul CRM

Yes. Krokul CRM integrates with Apollo.io for enrichment and for sequences. A new contact or client company in Krokul is matched in Apollo and receives job title, industry or headcount in its custom fields, and a contact from a lost or paused deal can be enrolled in an Apollo sequence from the card or by a rule. The Krokul app in Zapier, Make, n8n and Albato carries these flows, and the Krokul API with webhooks covers custom ones.

**Status:** Via API and webhooks. **Automation platforms:** Zapier, Make, n8n, Albato.

## What your team gets

### Firmographics arrive with the new client company

A manager adds a client company with a corporate e-mail. The connector sends the domain to Apollo Organization Enrichment and writes industry, employee count and annual revenue into the custom fields you mapped. Apollo charges one credit per organization, and the connector calls it once per company, so a repeated save does not spend a second credit.

### A person record fills the contact card

For a new contact, Krokul sends the e-mail and name to People Enrichment. Apollo returns the person with a `match_confidence` value, and the connector writes the job title and LinkedIn URL only for a high or medium match. When you ask for a phone number, Apollo reveals it later at a callback URL that the connector registers, and the number lands on the same contact.

### A lost deal goes back into an Apollo sequence

When a deal closes as lost, a rule in Krokul takes its contact, finds or creates the matching Apollo contact and adds it to the sequence you picked, together with the sending mailbox. A comment on the deal records the sequence name, so the next manager knows the person is in an Apollo cadence.

### One click from the contact card

The contact card has an action that enrolls the person in an Apollo sequence. Apollo enrolls only saved contacts, so the connector first saves the person there and stores its ID as an external key of the Krokul contact. Later enrollments reuse that ID.

## How to connect today

### Krokul app in Zapier, Make, n8n or Albato

1. Connect the Krokul app with an API key. Start from a Krokul trigger such as Contact Created, Company Created or Deal Lost.
2. Add the Apollo step Find or Create Contact for a person, or Create Account for a new client company.
3. Finish with a Krokul action such as Update Contact, Update Company or Add Comment.
4. For changes made in Apollo, start from Contact Updated or Account Updated and write the fields back with Update Contact or Update Company in Krokul.

### Custom flow through the Krokul API and webhooks

1. Issue a Krokul API key whose scope covers contacts and client companies, and keep a scoped Apollo key with the enrichment endpoints.
2. Subscribe a Krokul webhook to contact.created and clientCompany.created. Check x-crm-signature against your secret and use x-crm-delivery to skip repeats, so one record spends credits once.
3. Call People Enrichment or Organization Enrichment, then store the Apollo ID on the Krokul record with externalRef/api-upsert under the system apollo.
4. Write the result into the mapped custom fields with contact/api-update or clientCompany/api-update.

**Triggers:** New Contact; Contact Updated; New Account; Account Updated.

**Actions:** Create Contact; Update Contact; Find Contact; Find or Create Contact; Create Account; Update Account.

### For integrators

The Apollo API takes the `x-api-key` header, and scoped keys can be limited to the endpoints a flow needs. On the Krokul side, `externalRef/api-upsert` with the system `apollo` creates or updates a record by its Apollo ID in one call, and signed webhooks carry `x-crm-delivery`, so a retried delivery never triggers a second paid enrichment. A sandbox company with demo data lets you test the mapping before you spend real credits.

## Questions and answers

### Does Krokul integrate with Apollo.io?

Yes. Krokul integrates with Apollo.io through the Krokul app in Zapier, Make, n8n and Albato, and through its API and webhooks. Both paths cover enrichment and sequence enrollment.

### How many Apollo credits does enrichment use?

Apollo documents 1 credit per organization for Organization Enrichment and 1 to 9 credits per person for People Enrichment, depending on whether a mobile phone is returned. A request that finds no paid data costs 0 credits.

### Do sequence replies come back to Krokul?

No. Apollo documents no outbound webhooks for sequence activity, so replies and opens stay in Apollo. Krokul records the enrollment as a comment on the deal.

### Will Krokul overwrite what my team typed?

Only the fields you allow. Apollo data goes into the custom fields you mapped, and the name, e-mail and phone that your team entered stay as they are unless you choose otherwise.

## Limits

Apollo.io sends the sequence e-mails, and its replies and opens stay in Apollo, because Apollo documents no outbound webhooks for sequence activity. Every enrichment call spends Apollo credits according to the Apollo pricing of your workspace.
